Saw v picks up where the fourth entry left off as detective mark hoffman (costas mandylor) - jigsaws final apprentice - is praised by colleagues for his efforts in bringing the notorious serial killer to justice.

however fbi agent strahm (scott patterson) - a survivor of one of jigsaws traps - is not so convinced of hoffmans heroics and begins to did deeper into the lawman.

but as strahm gets closer to the truth a new games begins.

hoffman must go on the hunt to eliminate all the loose ends.
